"What would you like to gain from therapy? That is one of the first questions I ask because this is after all about you and your happiness. This is your time and your space to work through your concerns."
Whatever life’s challenges are - whether you feel stuck, anxious, stressed, overwhelmed, maybe the past is impacting on your life. I will provide you with a safe, non-judgemental place and support you as we explore what is important to you and how to find the way forward that works best for you.
This is your journey and I see it as a privilege to help you along the way to your road of future happiness.

I see everyone as unique. At first, I will be getting to know you. As the professional relationship builds, I will be offering some insight into patterns I see emerge, but you are always at the centre of the therapy and whilst I am happy to give perspective, I will not give advice and tell you what to do. I have the belief that through therapy you will come to know yourself better than anyone else could and that’s where the answers can be found.

I have a great passion for Polyvagal theory and Sometic grounding techniques, which I integrate in my work with clients as and when needed. Based in Neuroscience I believe this to have huge benefits in helping to understand why we respond to certain situations in the way we do. Through various practices, this is useful in therapy to start to regulate the nervous system, brain and body to respond in ways more acceptable to the self. It is proven to be very useful in relation to trauma but also beneficial for anxiety, depression, stress, anger and panic.

I have experience working with adults and children 11+ with a variety of needs, anxiety, panic attacks, stress, bullying, low self-esteem, historical abuse, dissociating, relationship difficulties, loss and trauma.

I am currently running a private practice and am a lecturer at Cambridge college teaching students counselling skills.

I work with professionals and employees, having worked in the media industry for 10 years I am acutely aware of the stresses and strains work environment can cause. Toward the end I needed to find my own balance in life, the time was right for me to change direction and this is when I decided to qualify as an Integrative counsellor. I can honestly say that I love what I do.

I look forward to working with you.
