I am a qualified Integrative Psychotherapist, BACP registered, NCS Accredited and a BPS (GBC) graduate member (including Health Psychology Division membership).
My education history includes a BSc in Psychology, a Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy, a PGDip in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapies and a Masters in Health Psychology.
I work with children, teens, adults, couples and families.
My main therapeutic approach is Adlerian, which is an integrative therapy based on psychodynamic approach. That means that while working together we will explore your values (what you consider important in your life), we will analyse the influences from the past on your core beliefs and we will look at your core beliefs in a way that encourages positive change. This approach might take time. Having previous work experience in an NHS service, I often combine my main approach with CBT techniques for clients who are seeking quicker solution to their concerns.
I am trained and I have experience in working with children by using play therapy, art therapy and storytelling through therapeutic stories. I use structured interview and discussions with teens and adolescents above 10 years old.
I offer parenting sessions to families based on Adlerian principles of positive parenting and I have experience in delivering workshops, parenting courses and Level 2 Counselling Skills CPCAB counselling courses.
