Don’t let your emotions or memories affect your life negatively

Your emotional responses are hard to change and many therapies involve talking about past events and traumas for a long time, but this is not the right therapeutic solution for everyone.

IEMT utilises simple eye movements and questioning techniques to change a particular thought or feeling pattern or psychological stress that is causing you emotional challenges.

IEMT therapy can help you create change by rapidly reducing unwanted feelings to help you to resolve issues.

The way we move our eyes is thought to provide a connection to the part of the brain where our memories and emotions are stored. This can lead to rapid release and relief from painful emotions, without exploring painful issues you’d rather leave behind.

Our clients consistently report that IEMT has created positive change in their lives where no other approach has worked previously.

What happens during an IEMT session?

IEMT uses gentle, guided eye movements to help you to disconnect from negative emotions. During this process, you do not no need to discuss your issues in depth if you do not want to. This is called a ‘content free' therapy approach.

In your first session you will discuss your problem with your IEMT therapist, who will then guide you through a specific eye movement pattern designed to help your brain process unhelpful memories, thoughts and emotions.

As you progress through your treatment, you will address unhelpful feelings, thoughts, emotions and self-concepts as well as past negative memories. These are visited in brief doses while the therapist directs your eye movements.

Each IEMT session usually lasts 60 minutes. The course of treatment is spread over 2-8 sessions, held weekly or bi-weekly.

We have seen positive changes to our clients’ emotional wellbeing after just two sessions, with many clients experiencing a rapid, positive change and often reporting that the negative emotions have ceased to exist.
